Jerusalem Court Extends Detention in Benyahu Razi Murder Case Amid New Arrests and Revealing Messages

The Jerusalem Magistrate's Court reviewed a request on Wednesday to extend the detention of suspects involved in the murder of Benyahu Razi in the Nahlaot neighborhood of Jerusalem. Among the evidence disclosed were messages from some suspects, including one from Agam Tzarfati stating, "I will finish him. He dies today."

The police arrested a prison service officer yesterday morning on suspicions of breach of trust and obstruction of justice. The officer allegedly had a romantic relationship with Aviyaor Sasson, the main suspect's brother, and is suspected of aiding Sasson's escape from police searches. Sasson, who had been on the run for about two weeks, was later apprehended.

Last Thursday, the detention of David Keren, 19, from Elad, was extended; he is suspected of linking Agam Tzarfati and Shilat Huta, who ordered the murder, with the actual perpetrators. Earlier last week, police released photos and details of Aviyaor Sasson, 17, from Jerusalem, seeking public assistance in locating him. Sasson was seen fleeing the murder scene wearing a white shirt and black pants. Police warned that aiding a suspect could result in up to three years in prison.

About a week ago, another suspect was arrested, a relative of Shilat Huta and partner of one of Razi's friends. She was released to house arrest after questioning. Police suspect she connected Shilat and Agam Tzarfati, Razi's partner and the central suspect, with Linor Sasson. The murder plot was allegedly organized at Linor Sasson's home, and she reportedly drove the group to the crime scene.
