Jerusalem Police Capture Main Suspect in Benyahu Razi Murder After 10-Day Manhunt

After a ten-day manhunt, Jerusalem police arrested Abiyor Sasson, the primary suspect in the murder of Benyahu Razi. The investigation has been ongoing around the clock since the killing, with police focusing on capturing Sasson, who had been on the run. Jerusalem District Commander Asaf Feld closely supervised the operation, deploying the district's central unit and all available resources to locate and apprehend Sasson.

During his escape, Sasson reportedly hid in various locations across central and northern Israel. Police detectives from the Jerusalem District Anti-Crime Unit, assisted by the police air division, intercepted Sasson today as he was traveling by taxi toward Jerusalem. They arrested him at the Harel Tunnel entrance to the city. Sasson was transferred for interrogation to the Anti-Crime Unit of the Zion region and will soon appear before a magistrate court judge for a detention extension hearing.

In a related development, earlier today, a prison service officer was arrested on suspicion of obstructing the investigation by providing Sasson with information that aided his escape. The police continue to investigate the murder case intensively.
