Israel Faces Severe Heatwave With Temperatures Up to 46°C Starting Thursday

The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued a warning about a significant heatwave approaching Israel, expected to begin on Thursday and last until mid-next week. The peak of the heatwave will occur from Friday through Sunday, marking the hottest days of the current summer so far. During this period, extreme heat conditions will affect all parts of the country.

Temperatures are forecast to reach as high as 46 degrees Celsius in the Jordan Valley. The Arava region and areas around the Sea of Galilee are expected to experience temperatures between 44 and 45 degrees Celsius. In the Golan Heights, northern valleys, Galilee, and the Negev desert, temperatures will range from 38 to 42 degrees Celsius. Coastal areas, the foothills, and mountainous regions will see temperatures between 35 and 36 degrees Celsius.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution by avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during peak hours and to increase water intake to stay hydrated during the intense heatwave.
