Israel Faces Rising Heat and Increasing Extreme Heat Stress This Week

Starting Tuesday, Israel will experience a slight temperature increase, especially in the mountainous regions and inland areas, accompanied by a mild intensification of heat stress. Morning skies will be partly cloudy, clearing up as the day progresses. Forecasted temperatures for Tuesday include Jerusalem at 18-31°C, Tel Aviv 24-31°C, Haifa 24-31°C, Safed 20-32°C, Tiberias 23-36°C, Ashdod 23-31°C, Beersheba 22-34°C, and Eilat 28-40°C.

On Wednesday, after morning clouds dissipate, the weather will be clear with another slight temperature rise, particularly in the mountains and inland, where conditions will be hotter and drier than usual. The coastal plain will remain cooler. Heat stress will increase further.

Thursday will bring a continued slight temperature increase, with hot to very hot conditions in the mountains and inland, while the coastal plain stays milder. Heavy to extreme heat stress is expected across most of the country.

Friday will generally be clear, maintaining hot to very hot temperatures in the mountains and inland, with milder conditions along the coast. Heavy to extreme heat stress will persist in most areas of Israel throughout the day.
