Slovenian Striker Aster Sokler Signs Two-Year Deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi Tel Aviv announced on Sunday the signing of Slovenian national team striker Aster Sokler from Serbian club FK Radnički. The 27-year-old forward agreed to a two-year contract with an option to extend for an additional two years. Sokler, who stands 181 cm tall, joins Maccabi after a successful season in Serbia where he scored 15 goals in 29 appearances across all competitions. He will wear the number 9 jersey for the Israeli club.
Born in Krško, Slovenia, Sokler developed through the youth ranks of Krško Posavje and made his senior debut at age 17. In 2020, he transferred to Bravo, where he had a particularly prolific half-season, netting nine goals in 12 matches. Upon signing, Sokler expressed pride in joining a club with a rich history and high ambitions, stating his commitment to helping the team achieve its goals, score goals, win titles, and make the fans proud.
