Man From Beitar Illit Caught Transporting Limp Donkey in Car Trunk Near Jerusalem
A 28-year-old man from Beitar Illit was stopped at the Tunnels Checkpoint near Jerusalem while driving from Gush Etzion. During the inspection, Border Police officers discovered a donkey with its legs tied inside the trunk of his private vehicle. The driver claimed the donkey was unwell and that he intended to take it to a farm in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood for treatment. The suspect was detained for further investigation, and the donkey was transferred to an animal welfare organization for care. The police emphasized that Border Police forces will continue to enforce the law rigorously, especially in cases involving suspected animal abuse or legal violations.
