Israeli Border Police Arrest Driver for Cruelly Transporting Donkey in Trunk at Jerusalem Checkpoint

Israeli Border Police officers detained a 28-year-old driver from Beitar Illit after discovering a donkey with its legs tightly bound inside the trunk of his car at the Jerusalem Tunnels checkpoint. The vehicle arrived from the Gush Etzion area for a routine inspection when officers found the animal in distress. The driver claimed he was transporting the donkey to a farm in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Jerusalem for medical treatment. Authorities immediately arrested the suspect for further investigation. The donkey was rescued from the cramped trunk and urgently transferred to the Animal Welfare Association for care and rehabilitation.
