Israeli Border Police Find Donkey With Bound Legs in Car Trunk at Jerusalem Checkpoint
Israeli Border Police and checkpoint officers discovered a donkey with its legs bound in the trunk of a private vehicle at the Tunnel Checkpoint in Jerusalem last night. The vehicle, traveling from the Gush Etzion area, was stopped for inspection when the donkey was found. The driver, a 28-year-old resident of Beitar Illit, claimed the donkey was unwell and that he intended to take it to a farm. The animal was handed over to the animal welfare organization "Animals' Suffering" for further care.
