Israeli Border Police Uncover 16 Illegal Immigrants Hidden in Truck Near Jerusalem
Israeli Border Police fighters from the Jerusalem area, working alongside checkpoint troops, received intelligence from the Border Police's Investigation and Intelligence Department about a truck suspected of transporting illegal residents from the West Bank into Israel. Upon the truck's arrival at the Mezamoria checkpoint, the forces stopped it for inspection. During a thorough search, officers discovered a hidden double wall in the truck concealing 16 illegal immigrants without valid entry or stay permits in Israel. The truck driver, a resident of East Jerusalem suspected of smuggling the illegal immigrants, was arrested along with the 16 individuals. All suspects were transferred to the Border Police's Investigation and Intelligence Department in the Jerusalem area for further questioning.
