Israeli Border Police Arrest Illegal Immigrant Hidden Inside Car Speaker Near Jerusalem

Israeli Border Police fighters from the Jerusalem periphery and checkpoint units arrested an illegal immigrant who was concealed inside a speaker hidden in the trunk of a vehicle during a routine operational inspection. The officers became suspicious of the speaker, which was partially obscured behind a baby seated in a child safety seat inside the car. Upon thorough examination, they discovered the illegal immigrant inside the speaker. The driver, suspected of transporting the illegal immigrant, was also detained. Both individuals were transferred for further investigation to the Border Police's Investigation and Intelligence Department in the Jerusalem area.

In the past week, Border Police units across various sectors have arrested approximately 460 illegal immigrants, along with over 60 suspects accused of facilitating their transportation, sheltering, or employment. The incident highlights ongoing efforts by Israeli security forces to curb illegal immigration and related offenses near Jerusalem.
