Israel Records Extreme Heat with Temperatures Surpassing 43 Degrees Celsius

The Israeli Meteorological Service reported exceptionally high temperatures across the country, with the most intense heat recorded in the Jordan Valley, Arava, and the Dead Sea region. In Tiberias, temperatures reached 41.1 degrees Celsius, marking the highest reading there this summer. Nearby, in Kfar Nahum near the northern Sea of Galilee, the mercury climbed even higher to 42.2 degrees Celsius. Similar extreme temperatures were recorded in the Arava and Jordan Valley, including 42.5 degrees in Hazeva and 42.3 degrees in Gilgal. The highest temperature nationwide was recorded in the southern Dead Sea area at Sedom, where the thermometer hit 43.6 degrees Celsius, setting the daily heat peak for Israel.
