Israel Distributes First 2025 Work Grant Installment to 130,000 Recipients
The Israeli Tax Authority is transferring the first installment of the 2025 Work Grant today, Thursday. Approximately 130,000 eligible recipients will receive a total of about 260 million shekels directly into their bank accounts, in accordance with eligibility criteria set by law. The Work Grant aims to improve the economic status of low-income workers, reduce socio-economic gaps, and encourage labor market participation. Payments are made in multiple installments throughout the year, depending on the timing of the application submission.
Eligible recipients include employees and self-employed individuals aged 21 and over who are parents, as well as those aged 55 and above regardless of parental status, provided they meet the established criteria. Starting in 2024, an additional grant is available for workers who are parents of toddlers. The Tax Authority also noted that applications for the 2024 Work Grant can still be submitted online via their website until December 31, 2026. Furthermore, employed women over 60 who meet eligibility requirements can apply for the grant and an advance payment for the 2026 eligibility year.
