Two-Month-Old Baby Found Unconscious in Beit Shemesh, Condition Critical
A tragic incident occurred Monday afternoon in Beit Shemesh when a two-and-a-half-month-old baby girl lost consciousness during her nap and did not wake up. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom, Tzevet Hatzalah, and United Hatzalah were urgently dispatched to Rabina Street in the Ramat D neighborhood. Upon arrival, paramedics and medics found the infant without pulse or breathing and immediately began advanced and prolonged resuscitation efforts at the family home.
Paramedic Nati Ben Shimon and medics David Reichman and Itamar Hershler described the intense scene, noting the baby was unresponsive as reported by family members. Additional rescuers from United Hatzalah, including Moyshe Horvitz, Menachem Eichler, and Moyshe Siruka, joined the intensive life-saving attempts. After initial emergency treatment on site, the baby was rushed in a Magen David Adom intensive care ambulance to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, with resuscitation continuing en route.
The infant’s condition remains critical, prompting deep concern among local residents. The community has been urged to pray for her recovery as medical teams continue their efforts.
