Children Recount Terror on Flydubai Flight Amidst Mid-Air Panic

Passengers aboard a Flydubai flight experienced intense fear and confusion during an unusual incident that led to significant tension in the cabin before the plane eventually landed safely at Ben Gurion Airport. Among those on board were children and teenagers who described the experience as a terrifying ordeal. Eight-year-old Omer Shalom recounted believing the plane was about to crash, experiencing immense fear without understanding the situation. Her mother attempted to reassure her, explaining they would land in Saudi Arabia before continuing their journey, but the explanation did not fully alleviate the child's sense of danger.

Sixteen-year-old Peleg Itali from Ness Ziona, seated near the front of the plane, described a sudden, unusual movement followed by screams from the front of the cabin, with one woman shouting that someone had been stabbed. In the ensuing confusion, Peleg witnessed two passengers rush towards the front of the plane to intervene. He himself began praying, contemplating the worst-case scenario and fearing for his life.

The incident concluded without disaster, with passengers breathing a sigh of relief upon landing. For many, especially the younger passengers like Omer and Peleg, the flight transformed from a routine journey into a memorable experience of fear, uncertainty, and prayer, leaving a lasting impression of the moments when the flight turned into genuine anxiety.
