Driver Rescued After Car Plummets Five Meters in Jerusalem
Firefighters in Jerusalem successfully rescued a female driver whose car fell approximately five meters into a private garden in the Gilo neighborhood on Tuesday. Crews from the capital's fire and rescue station responded to a report of a traffic accident on De La Pergola Street.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a car overturned on its side after plummeting from a significant height. Firefighters immediately worked to extricate the driver from the vehicle.
The driver was successfully rescued and transferred to medical teams at the scene. She was reported to be in light to moderate condition. The incident commander, Chief Fire Officer Omri Avraham, stated, "Upon arriving at the scene, we observed a private vehicle overturned after it plummeted from a height of about five meters into a yard. We acted quickly and carefully to rescue the trapped driver from the vehicle, and thankfully, we rescued her conscious and transferred her for further medical treatment."
