Car Plunges Five Meters Into Jerusalem Backyard, Driver Rescued
A car fell approximately five meters into a private garden in the Gilo neighborhood of Jerusalem on Wednesday, after rolling down an unspecified incline. Firefighters successfully extricated the 66-year-old female driver from the vehicle. She was then transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in mild condition.
The incident occurred in the afternoon hours after the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service received a report of a car that had rolled and fallen from a height. Fire and rescue teams from the Jerusalem district were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they found the car overturned in a private yard.
Incident commander, Reshef Omri Avraham, stated, "Upon arriving at the scene, we observed a private vehicle overturned after it had fallen from a significant height of about five meters into a yard. We acted quickly and carefully to rescue the trapped driver from the vehicle, and thankfully, we rescued her conscious and transferred her for further medical treatment."
