Eight-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6 Injures 18
Eighteen people were injured Tuesday morning, September 29, in a multi-vehicle accident involving eight cars on Highway 6 near the Iron interchange in northern Israel. Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision. The first report of the accident reached the Magen David Adom emergency services dispatch center at 9:42 AM. Medical teams arrived at the scene and transported 10 injured individuals, all with light injuries, to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera. Another eight people were evacuated from the scene, their conditions also assessed as light. The accident caused a temporary closure of Highway 6 in the northbound direction. Police later reopened two of the three lanes. Significant traffic congestion occurred at the scene. Police are managing traffic while continuing to investigate the collision. Drivers are advised to monitor road conditions via navigation devices, exercise patience, and follow the instructions of traffic officers.
