Major Highway 6 Crash Injures 18 in Northern Israel

Eight vehicles collided on Tuesday morning, September 29, on Highway 6 in northern Israel, between the Iron and Ein Tut interchanges, heading north. The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service reported that 18 people sustained light injuries in the incident. The emergency call was received at 9:42 AM by MDA's Gilboa regional dispatch. Paramedics and approximately ten ambulances responded to the scene. They provided initial treatment to the injured. Ten individuals were transported to Hillel Yaffe Hospital in Hadera, while the other eight, also with minor injuries, received on-site treatment before being evacuated from the crash site. Traffic police and investigators from the Menashe district, responsible for accident investigations, were also present. The highway was initially completely closed to northbound traffic following the crash. Later, police announced the reopening of two of the three lanes, with traffic gradually resuming. However, significant traffic jams persisted in the area. Police officers remained on site to direct traffic, urging drivers to be patient, follow instructions, and use alternative routes if possible.
