18 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 6

Eight vehicles were involved in a traffic accident on Tuesday on Highway 6 near the Iron Interchange, resulting in 18 people sustaining minor injuries. Magen David Adom paramedics treated and evacuated the injured from the scene.

This incident follows a fatal crash on Friday on Highway 90, south of the settlement of Masu'a. That accident, involving four vehicles, claimed the life of a man in his 60s and left five others injured, two of whom were in serious condition. Firefighters from the Samaria region extricated the deceased from his vehicle.

"Upon arriving at the scene, we encountered a difficult and complex scene of a traffic accident involving four vehicles," stated Hadi Abu Zalf, the shift commander. "After an initial assessment, we identified several trapped individuals, including a fatality in one of the vehicles. This was a very serious accident, and the rescue operation was complex and lengthy. While the rescue was underway, we created a working space for the medical teams, who pronounced the victim dead."
