Israel Eliminates Hamas Northern Gaza Brigade Commander in Airstrike
Israeli forces eliminated Azz-al-Din Bik, the commander of Hamas's Northern Gaza Strip brigade, overnight in the Gaza Strip. Bik was reportedly involved in planning terror attacks against Israeli forces and recruiting terrorists for the organization.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz praised the joint operation by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the Shin Bet security agency. "We commend the IDF and Shin Bet for their determined action against Hamas commanders and terrorists," they stated.
The Prime Minister and Defense Minister added, "We will continue to hunt down and pursue all the terrorists of the organization, from its commanders to its last operatives, wherever they hide, until Hamas is no more in Gaza."
The operation is part of ongoing efforts by Israel to dismantle Hamas's military and administrative capabilities in Gaza following the October 7th attacks.
