Haifa Port Firefighters Contain Hazardous Material Leak
Firefighters responded to a report of a potential hazardous material leak at the port of Haifa during the night of September 28. Upon arrival, they discovered a minor leak from an "iso-tank" container belonging to the company "Dshaninim".
Measurements taken at the scene indicated low and localized concentrations of the substance, confined to the immediate vicinity of the container. Firefighters, working with company personnel, sealed the container and placed it within a special protective tray.
The container was then moved by crane to the eastern pier for further inspection and treatment. The Fire and Rescue Services stated that there was no threat of a significant hazardous incident and that the situation was fully under control.
