Haifa Firefighters Quickly Contain Blaze Near Residential Area

A fire broke out Tuesday in a wooded area on Makor Baruch Street in Haifa's Hadar neighborhood, close to residential buildings. Firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene after numerous calls from residents reporting smoke. The fire department's 102 dispatch center in the Coastal District received many calls reporting smoke rising from the neighborhood.

Fire and rescue teams from Haifa station, along with volunteers from the Vizhnitz neighborhood's Haredi volunteer unit, responded to the incident. Due to the fire's location and concerns it could spread to nearby homes, reinforcements were called in. Firefighters worked rapidly to contain the blaze and prevent it from reaching the adjacent structures.

Crews are currently working to extinguish remaining hotspots and conclude the operation. No injuries were reported.
