Fire Erupts on Ship at Israel Shipyards in Haifa Port

Ten firefighting and rescue teams from the Kiryat branch were dispatched to Pier B2 at Israel Shipyards in Haifa Port on Sunday following reports of a fire. The blaze ignited in the engine room of a vessel named 'Paphin' that was docked at the pier.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and identified the source of the fire in the engine room. They immediately began intensive firefighting operations, with special preparations for dealing with a complex maritime fire incident. As of Sunday, teams were working to gain full control of the fire's source, extinguish it, and prevent its spread to other parts of the ship or to nearby vessels and facilities.
