Firefighters and IDF Battle Large Blaze at Vehicle Yard in Kiryat Arba Industrial Zone

Firefighters, supported by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), are actively combating a massive fire that erupted at a vehicle dismantling yard in the industrial area of Kiryat Arba. As of now, 17 firefighting teams equipped with high-lift cranes and specialized water supply vehicles are working alongside dozens of volunteers to control the blaze. The operation is coordinated closely with the IDF, which has provided water tankers, and the Israel Police, who have blocked access roads leading to the scene to facilitate emergency response efforts.

To prevent the fire from spreading further, a heavy engineering vehicle, a front loader, has been deployed inside the burning yard to move and isolate vehicles that have not yet caught fire, creating a firebreak. Thick smoke clouds continue to rise from the site, and intense heat radiation is being felt in the surrounding area. The firefighting teams are making ongoing efforts to contain the fire and minimize damage.
