Firefighters Battle Massive Blaze at Vehicle Yard in Kiryat Arba Industrial Zone

Dozens of firefighters and volunteers from the Yehuda Regional Fire Station, supported by neighboring district teams and IDF soldiers, are currently combating a large fire at a vehicle dismantling yard in the industrial area of Kiryat Arba. According to Deputy Chief Superintendent Tamir Erez, commander of the Yehuda Regional Station, the complex incident involves numerous vehicles and gas cylinders that are exploding due to the flames. Fire crews are working simultaneously on multiple fronts to prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent vehicle lots. One of the fire zones has also damaged high-voltage power lines.

Seventeen firefighting teams are deployed at the scene, equipped with water supply vehicles, elevated cranes, and a loader to remove undamaged vehicles and contain the fire. Police have closed surrounding roads because of heavy smoke and intense heat radiation in the area. The Fire and Rescue Services have urged the public to avoid the site, use alternative routes, and allow emergency responders to carry out their operations without interference.
