Massive Fire Erupts at Car Yard in Kiryat Arba, Firefighters Battle Blaze
A large fire broke out at a car dismantling yard in the industrial zone of Kiryat Arba, prompting a major emergency response. Dozens of firefighters and volunteers from the Yehuda Regional Fire Station, supported by neighboring districts, are actively working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to an adjacent car yard. Heavy smoke and intense heat continue to affect the area.
Firefighters are using a loader to remove vehicles not yet damaged by the fire to stop further spread. The fire involves numerous vehicles and gas cylinders that have exploded due to the flames. The fire also caused damage to high-voltage power lines in parts of the area.
Deputy Chief Tamir Erez of the Yehuda Regional Station stated that all station teams and additional crews from nearby districts were deployed. The Israel Defense Forces are assisting by supplying water to the firefighting teams. Authorities have urged the public to avoid the area, use alternative routes, and allow emergency personnel to operate without interference.
