Massive Fire Destroys Electric Scooter Warehouse in Hod Hasharon, Firefighters Battle Blaze
A large industrial warehouse in Hod Hasharon, filled with electric scooters, ATVs, and other light vehicles, was completely engulfed in flames on the evening of June 10. Over 22 veteran firefighting teams from the Central District were dispatched to the scene, working under hazardous conditions to contain the fire. The blaze produced intense explosions due to the batteries and flammable materials in the vehicles, complicating firefighting efforts. Roni Kedem, the Central District Fire and Rescue Commander, personally arrived to assess the situation and coordinate efforts to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings and causing structural collapse.
Simultaneously, a second fire broke out near Petah Tikva, involving dry brush close to Highway 483 and a local gas station. Fire crews from the surrounding municipalities responded quickly to contain this blaze, while local authorities warned residents about heavy smoke and unusual traffic congestion in the area. Emergency services urged the public to stay clear of both fire zones to allow firefighters to operate efficiently. No injuries have been reported so far, but firefighting operations are expected to continue for several more hours. Further updates will follow as the situation develops.
