Massive Fire Engulfs Hundreds of Cars in Kiryat Arba Industrial Area

A large fire broke out on Saturday evening in a car dismantling yard in the B Industrial Zone of Kiryat Arba. Dozens of firefighters and volunteers from the Yehuda Regional Fire Station, supported by neighboring districts, are actively working to extinguish the blaze and prevent its spread. The fire involves hundreds of vehicles, and the intense flames have caused gas cylinders on site to explode repeatedly, complicating firefighting efforts and endangering responders.

Deputy Commander Tamir Erez of the Yehuda Regional Station stated that all available teams were dispatched upon arrival, working across multiple sectors of the fire. High-voltage power lines were also affected in some areas. The Israel Defense Forces are assisting by supplying water to the firefighting teams. The main focus is to stop the fire from spreading to an adjacent car yard while simultaneously tackling existing fire hotspots.

The Kiryat Arba Council informed residents that the fire is under control and poses no current threat to the nearby Gal neighborhood. The council leadership remains in close contact with security and emergency services, prepared for any scenario. This incident follows a recent series of fires across Israel, including a fatal blaze in Holon and other fires at waste sites nationwide.
