Air Seychelles Flight to Mauritius Canceled Over Landing Permit Dispute
A flight operated by Air Seychelles from Israel to Mauritius was canceled after Mauritian authorities refused to grant the aircraft a landing permit. The tourism company "Spirit Productions Worldwide" stated that it received information indicating the decision was based on "political and מדיניים (state) considerations." Efforts were made overnight to resolve the landing issue in the Indian Ocean island nation, but according to the tourism company, Air Seychelles announced the flight's cancellation due to the permit's denial. The company asserted that all necessary approvals for the flight had been secured several months prior.
Tali Yetiv, CEO and owner of Spirit Productions Worldwide, expressed regret and disappointment over the decision not to permit the landing of the flight from Israel. "We are especially sorry if such a decision is indeed made for political reasons, directly harming Israeli passengers who have no connection to these decisions," she stated.
