Air Seychelles Cancels Flights to Mauritius Amid Israeli Passenger Ban

Air Seychelles has canceled its planned flights from Tel Aviv to Mauritius after Mauritian authorities refused to allow planes originating from Israel to land. Representatives from the Israeli travel company "Spirit Productions World" stated that despite significant efforts to secure necessary approvals, Mauritius denied landing permits for the aircraft, leading to the cancellation.

The travel company expressed concern that the decision is linked to Mauritius's current stance on the arrival of Israelis, potentially due to the ongoing political situation and disputes. They described the decision as painful and disappointing, sharing in the distress of passengers whose vacations were disrupted after months of planning.

"We are especially sorry if such a decision is indeed made for political reasons, directly harming Israeli passengers who have no connection to these decisions. We did everything in our power until the last moment to ensure the flight departed as scheduled," said Tali Yetiv, CEO and owner of Spirit Productions World.

The company is working with Air Seychelles and relevant parties to gather information for customer support and will contact affected passengers personally. Air Seychelles had only announced its return to Israel and resumption of flights in June, aiming to provide convenient access for Israelis to the islands. Flights from Tel Aviv to Mahé, the main island of Seychelles, had been operating since August.
