Israel-Mauritius Flight Canceled Over Landing Permit Dispute
A flight from Israel to Mauritius operated by Air Seychelles was canceled after Mauritian authorities refused to grant a landing permit. The tourism company "Spirit Productions Worldwide" stated that it received information indicating the decision was based on "political and מדיניים (state) considerations." Efforts were made overnight to resolve the landing issue in the Indian Ocean island nation, but Air Seychelles announced the flight's cancellation due to the denied permit.
According to Spirit Productions Worldwide, all necessary approvals for the flight had been secured months in advance. Tali Yetiv, CEO and owner of Spirit Productions Worldwide, expressed regret and disappointment over the decision, stating, "We are especially sorry if such a decision is indeed made for political reasons, directly harming Israeli passengers who have no connection to these decisions."
