Israel's Gymnasts Clinch World Championship Gold, Outperforming Russia and USA

The Israeli national acrobatic gymnastics team secured the gold medal in the team event at the 30th World Championships held in Pesaro, Italy, on September 25. The Israeli team amassed 88 points in the final standings, surpassing Russia and the United States, who both scored 81 points and shared the silver medal. Israel's victory was propelled by first-place finishes in three categories: the women's pair of Shiraz Sokolovsky and Roni Kohen, the men's quartet of Liad Madar, Eran Rodnay, Liran Cohen, and Evgeni Pinchukov, and the women's trio of Ori Dekel, Roni Rotman, and Arad Avir Deutsch. In addition to the team gold, Israeli athletes qualified for finals in multiple individual disciplines. Sokolovsky and Kohen earned silver in dynamic exercises and balance beam, and took first place in the all-around competition. The men's quartet placed fourth in dynamic exercises and second in the all-around. The women's trio secured second place in the all-around. Another Israeli pair, Rotem Wolf and Yotam Klumel, qualified as alternates for the balance beam final after winning the dynamic exercises qualification. The World Championships, featuring over 250 athletes from 30 countries, run from September 24 to 27 in Pesaro.
