Israel Wins Gymnastics Acrobatic World Championship Team Gold

The Israeli national team clinched the gold medal in the team competition at the World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships for adults, held in Pesaro, Italy. Israel finished first with 88 points, ahead of Russia and the USA, who each scored 81 points. The winning Israeli score was achieved through the combined efforts of three teams: a women's pair, a men's quartet, and a women's trio.

Individually, the Israeli delegation had a strong showing in the preliminary rounds, with multiple teams qualifying for finals. The women's pair Shiraz Sokolovsky and Roni Cohen qualified for both the Dynamic and Balance finals, and also topped the All-Around preliminary round. The men's quartet of Liyad Madar, Eran Rodnai, Liran Cohen, and Yevgeni Pinchukov qualified for the Dynamic and Balance finals, and placed second in the All-Around preliminary. The women's trio of Ori Dekel, Roni Rotman, and Arad Avir Deutsch qualified for the Dynamic final and the combined All-Around final, but did not advance to the Balance final due to a one-team-per-country limit.

Other Israeli teams also performed well. Rotem Wolf and Yotam Klomel qualified for the Dynamic final and the combined All-Around final, and will serve as the first reserve for the Balance final. Noam Ronen, Noa Yifrah, and Mari Obadia qualified for the Balance final and placed third in the All-Around preliminary, but could not advance to the combined All-Around final due to the country's team limit. Roni Taler and Chen Benoz competed in the Balance and All-Around preliminary rounds.

Avi Sagie, Chairman of the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, congratulated the teams, stating, "What an exciting way to open the Sukkot holiday, with the Israeli flag at the top of the podium at the World Championships. The gold in the team competition is an achievement of the entire delegation and a strong sport, reflecting the professional and dedicated work done daily in our clubs. Congratulations to the gymnasts, coaches, and all the teams." The federation expressed pride in the athletes and wished them luck in the upcoming finals.
