Israeli Gymnasts Secure Five Medals at European Championships
Israeli athletes achieved significant success at the European Youth and Junior Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships held in Pesaro, Italy, clinching a total of five medals.
In the youth women's pairs combined exercises, Lika Bazilianski and Abigail Monkaz secured the gold medal. The Ukrainian pair of Anna Murza and Yana Zenkina took silver, and the Kazakh duo of Yaroslava Butolina and Polina Melnik earned bronze.
In the junior championships, Gal Ariel and Gilad Shiner won gold in the combined pairs competitions. Noam Cohen and Yannai Regev claimed a bronze medal in the combined competitions.
Additionally, Israeli teams achieved strong results in team events. Tzuf Azor, Michelle Obolenshev, and Shahar Vardi were victorious in the youth women's combined team exercises. The junior men's team, consisting of Mark Borodin, Oscar Borodin, Ernest Haimov, and Lidor Cohen, won a silver medal in the combined team exercises.
In other results, the Israeli mixed pair Oren Bar-Yosef and Tali Brodsky finished eighth in the youth championship combined exercises. The youth men's team of Shalev Avshush, Yair Oz, Yonatan Schechner, and Yonatan Weitzman placed fourth in their combined team event.
