Israel’s acrobatic gymnastics team earned two gold medals at the World Cup in Poland on Sunday, in a strong finals day for the blue-and-white delegation. The results came in both the women’s pairs and the men’s group events.
Shiraz Sokolovsky and Roni Cohen of Maccabi Haifa, coached by Yanai Kalfa, won gold with a score of 29.090. The pair also finished the 2026 World Cup series as champions in the women’s pairs category.
Israel’s second gold came from the quartet of Or Avraham, Eran Zeidman, Rotem Amihaï and Lior Burdin of Bnei Holon, coached by Amir Mozes and Efi Saats. They finished first with 29.490 points.
The trio of Noam Ronen, Noa Yifrah and Marie Ovadia, also from Bnei Holon and coached by Amir Mozes and Shiran Vaknin, placed fourth with 28.030. The mixed pair Rotem Wolf and Yotam Klomel, from Bnei Holon and Maccabi Dan, finished fifth with 26.590. The delegation was accompanied by Yanai Kalfa, Shiran Vaknin and Maya Gannot, with Sarah’le Miller heading the team. Israeli Gymnastics Association chairman Avi Sagie praised the athletes, saying the two golds and Sokolovsky and Cohen’s World Cup title showed the “professional quality” of the gymnasts and coaches and brought “a great deal of pride to Israel.”
