Israel’s acrobatics team won two gold medals at the World Cup in Poland on Sunday, in a strong finals day for the blue-and-white delegation. The victories came in the women’s pairs and men’s group events, while two other Israeli entries also reached the finals.
Shiraz Sokolovsky and Roni Cohen of Haifa Flying, coached by Yanai Kalfa, took gold in the women’s pairs with 29.090 points. Their result also made them the 2026 World Cup series champions in the women’s pairs category.
Israel’s second gold came from the group of Or Abraham, Eran Zeidman, Rotem Amichai and Lior Bordin of Begen Holon, coached by Amir Mozes and Efi Sats. They finished first with 29.490 points. The trio of Noam Ronen, Noa Yifrach and Marie Ovadia, also from Begen Holon and coached by Mozes and Shiran Vaknin, placed fourth with 28.030 points.
The mixed pair Rotem Wolf and Yotam Klomel, from Begen Holon and Maccabi Dan, coached by Mozes, Maya Gannot and Vaknin, came fifth with 26.590 points. The delegation was accompanied by Kalfa, Vaknin and Gannot, while Leon Vinetsky and Sats judged the event. Sherah’la Miller headed the delegation. Gymnastics Federation chairman Avi Shag said, “We are very proud of the impressive achievements of the acrobatics team at the World Cup in Poland.”
