Israeli Junior Gymnasts Secure Three Medals at World Championships

The Israeli junior acrobatic gymnastics team concluded an excellent performance at the World Championships in Pesaro, Italy, securing three medals: gold, silver, and bronze, along with five final appearances. Gal Harel and Gilad Tsvi Sheiner of "Maofefei Haifa" were crowned junior world champions in the boys' pairs category, earning 28.420 points for their routine. Their coaches were Yanai Kalfa and Keren Gershgoren.

The boys' quartet, consisting of Lidor Cohen, Ernest Khaimov, Oscar Borodin, and Mark Borodin from "Begin Holon," claimed the silver medal, finishing second globally with 28.390 points. The coaching staff of "Begin Holon" led this team.

In the mixed pairs event, Noy Cohen and Yanai Regev, also from "Begin Holon," took home the bronze medal, placing third in the final with 28.340 points. The "Begin Holon" coaching staff also guided this pair.

Other notable performances included Mika Cooper and Yael Kipnis from "Maofefei Haifa," who finished fourth in the girls' pairs final with 27.190 points, coached by Ofir Cohen and Keren Gershgoren. Tom Levi Eisner, Ofek Biran, and Romi Tal from "Begin Holon" secured tenth place in the girls' trios final.

Avi Sagie, Chairman of the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, praised the achievement, stating, "Three medals at the Junior World Championships, topped by the world champion title, are a wonderful accomplishment that testifies to the quality and depth of our future generation in acrobatics. I am very proud of the gymnasts and congratulate the coaches and professional teams for the work and investment behind these achievements." He added that the junior team is concluding an excellent competition and expressed anticipation for the upcoming senior competition.

The senior World Championships are set to begin shortly in Pesaro, where Israeli representatives will continue the nation's participation in the event.
