Israel Claims Three Medals, Including Gold, at World Junior Acrobatics Championships

The Israeli junior national team achieved significant success at the World Acrobatics Championships held in Pesaro, Italy, securing a total of three medals: one gold, one silver, and one bronze, along with five final appearances. Gal Harel and Gilad Tzvi Sheiner from "Maofefei Haifa" were crowned world junior champions in the boys' pairs category, earning a gold medal for their performance. The boys' quartet, consisting of Lidor Cohen, Ernest Khaimov, Oscar Borodin, and Mark Borodin from "Begin Holon," took home the silver medal. The mixed pair, Noy Cohen and Yanai Regev, also from "Begin Holon," clinched the bronze medal.

Additional strong performances included Mika Cooper and Yael Kipnis from "Maofefei Haifa" finishing fourth in the girls' pairs final. Tom Levi Eisner, Ofek Biran, and Romi Tal from "Begin Holon" placed tenth in the girls' trios final.

Avi Sagie, Chairman of the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, praised the athletes and coaches, stating, "Three medals at the World Junior Championships, topped by the world title, are a wonderful achievement that testifies to the quality and depth of our future generation in acrobatics. I am very proud of the gymnasts and congratulate the coaches and professional teams for the work and investment behind these achievements." He added that the junior team is concluding an excellent competition and expressed anticipation for the upcoming senior competition.

The senior World Championships are set to begin shortly in Pesaro, where Israeli representatives will continue the nation's participation in the event.
