Israel Wins Two Gold Medals at World Junior Gymnastics Championships

The Israeli delegation at the World Junior Acrobatic Gymnastics Championships in Pesaro, Italy, achieved a spectacular start to the finals day, securing two gold medals. The girls' trio, consisting of Michelle Obulentsev, Tzof Harash, and Shahar Vardi from Begin Holon, clinched first place in the combined exercise final with a score of 27.780 points. Additionally, the girls' pair, Abigail Montasez and Lyka Bazilansky from Maccabi Dan and Hapoel Misgav, also took gold in their combined exercise final, earning 28.030 points. Both teams were coached by Maya Ganot and Mika Levkovich.

Further strong performances were noted in the finals. The boys' quartet, featuring Shai Habshush, Yair Oz, Yonatan Weitzman, and Yonatan Shachner from Meofeefe Haifa, finished in fourth place with 27.200 points, narrowly missing third place which was decided by a tie-breaker. Their coaches were Yanai Kalfa and Keren Gershgorn. The mixed pair, Tali Brodsky and Oren Bar Yosef, also from Meofeefe Haifa, concluded their competition in eighth place in the final, coached by Ofir Cohen and Keren Gershgorn.

Avi Sagie, Chairman of the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, expressed his excitement, stating, "An exciting start to the finals day with two gold medals and excellent performances from our male and female gymnasts.
