Israel Wins Three Medals at World Junior Water Ski Championships

Israel secured three medals at the World Junior Water Ski Championships held in the Netherlands, marking a successful start to the new year for the Israeli delegation. Yam Lev earned a silver medal in the adult slalom competition, while Moshiko Tzadka took bronze in the same event. Eliav Shemer added another bronze medal in the under-19 slalom category.

Lev finished second in the adult final with a score of three buoys at 58 km/h on a 9.75-meter rope. Tzadka, a veteran competitor, secured third place with five buoys at 58 km/h on a 10.25-meter rope. Shemer's bronze in the under-19 slalom came after achieving 2.25 buoys at 58 km/h on an 11.25-meter rope.

Another Israeli competitor, Gregory Dovgievich, finished seventh in the under-19 slalom final. The Israeli team is not yet finished competing, with Olga Tverbekina and Liza Dovgievich scheduled to compete in the women's tricks and jump finals, respectively, hoping to add to Israel's medal count.

Ma'oz Tal, CEO of the Israel Water Ski Association, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Two medals, silver and bronze, at the adult World Championships and another medal under 19, we couldn't have asked for more." He highlighted the exceptional performance of the Israeli athletes in a challenging competition and noted Israel's consistent dominance in global slalom over the past decade.

Erick Kaplan, President and CEO of "ILAN" Association for Non-Olympic Sports, congratulated the medalists, calling their achievement "a wonderful gift for the holiday" and expressing pride in the entire delegation. He wished luck to Tverbekina and Dovgievich in their upcoming finals.
