Israel Wins Three Medals at World Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships in China

The Israeli national team achieved notable success at the World Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships held in China, featuring around 150 athletes from 32 countries. The Israeli delegation, consisting of seven athletes, secured three medals and had four competitors reach the finals. Dan Milstein earned the silver medal and was named vice world champion in the adult wakeskate category. Rani Nitzan took bronze in the youth wakeskate division, while Henry Chen won bronze in the category for athletes with disabilities. Additionally, Agam Shimoni reached the world championship final for the first time, finishing sixth.

These accomplishments continue Israel's streak of medal wins in recent European and world championships. Meoz Tal, CEO of the Israeli Water Ski Federation, praised the team’s performance, highlighting the three medals and four finalists from a small delegation. He expressed confidence in the team’s ability to compete at the highest levels and announced their focus now shifts to the upcoming European Youth Wakeboard Championship in Bratislava in two weeks. Tal also thanked coaches Lior Sofer and Uri Bojo, as well as the Eilat Federation for their year-round support.
