Israel Wins Three Medals at World Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships in China
The Israeli national team achieved notable success at the World Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships held in China, featuring about 150 athletes from 32 countries. The Israeli delegation, consisting of seven athletes, secured three medals and had four competitors reach the finals.
Dan Milstein earned a silver medal, becoming the runner-up in the adult wakeskate category. Rani Nitzan won bronze in the youth wakeskate division, while Henry Chen took bronze in the category for athletes with disabilities. Additionally, Agam Shimoni reached the finals for the first time in the world championship and finished sixth.
These accomplishments continue Israel's streak of medal wins in European and world championships in recent years. Meoz Tal, CEO of the Israeli Water Ski Federation, praised the team’s performance, highlighting the consistent high-level competition and looking ahead to the upcoming European Youth Wakeboard Championship in Bratislava in two weeks. He also thanked coaches Lior Sofer and Uri Bojo, as well as the Eilat Federation for their year-round support.
