Israeli Skiers Secure Three Medals at World Championships

The Israeli delegation at the U19 Water Ski World Championships in the Netherlands has achieved significant success, securing three medals on Saturday. Yam Lev earned a silver medal in the senior slalom competition, while Moshiko Tzadeka took home a bronze in the same event. Eliav Shemer completed the medal haul with a bronze in the U19 slalom.

Lev finished the senior final in second place with a score of three buoys at 58 km/h on a 9.75-meter rope. Tzadeka, a veteran competitor, joined him on the podium by finishing third with five buoys at 58 km/h on a 10.25-meter rope.

In the U19 slalom, Eliav Shemer secured the bronze medal after achieving 2.25 buoys at 58 km/h on an 11.25-meter rope in the final. Another Israeli competitor, Gregory Dubjevich, placed seventh.

The Israeli team is not yet finished competing. Olga Trebinka will participate in the women's tricks final, and Liza Dubjevich will compete in the women's jump final on Sunday, with hopes of adding more accolades for Israel at the start of the new year.

Ma'oz Tal, CEO of the Water Ski Association, expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Two medals, silver and bronze, at the senior World Championships and another medal in the U19 category, we couldn't have asked for more." He highlighted the exceptional performance of the Israeli athletes, noting Israel's consistent dominance in world slalom over the past decade.

Erick Kaplan, President and CEO of "Il"at," the umbrella organization for non-Olympic sports, congratulated the medalists, calling the achievement "a wonderful gift for the holiday" and expressing pride in the entire delegation. He also wished luck to Trebinka and Dubjevich in their upcoming finals.
