Israel Secures Six Finals at World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Milan
The Israeli rhythmic gymnastics team achieved remarkable success at the prestigious World Cup competition held in Milan, one of the season's top events. Competing against 86 of the world's best gymnasts and 32 national teams, Israel advanced to six finals, including five individual finals and the group all-around final.
Daniela Munits from Maccabi Petah Tikva was the standout Israeli gymnast, finishing fourth in the all-around and qualifying for three apparatus finals: hoop (28.95 points), clubs (29.3 points), and ribbon (27.35 points). Alona Tal Franco from Maccabi Tel Aviv also performed strongly, placing eighth in the all-around and reaching two finals in hoop (27.9 points) and clubs (28.8 points).
The Israeli group team made a significant achievement by qualifying first for the hoop and clubs final with 28.15 points, after finishing fourth in the all-around. The group members are Agam Gab, Arina Gvozdecki, Avigail Shvad, Taia Sokolenco, Sofia Perzin, and Keren Sobol.
The delegation in Milan is led by head coach Ayelet Zusman, supported by the professional team including Julieta Cantlopi, Ela Smaplov, Natalia Stipnova, and Ida Meirin. The team also includes masseur Roni Shachori and delegation head Natasha Asmolov.
