Israeli Rhythmic Gymnastics Team Achieves Top Five Finishes at World Championships in Frankfurt

The Israeli rhythmic gymnastics team delivered a strong performance at the World Championships held in Frankfurt, concluding on August 16, 2026. Individual gymnast Daniela Munitz secured fourth place in the hoop final with a score of 30.050 points, narrowly missing the podium by 0.350 points. In the all-around final, Munitz ranked seventh with a total of 115.650 points. Another individual gymnast, Meital Maayan Somkin, reached the all-around final as well, finishing 17th with 106.650 points.

The Israeli group team qualified for the combined apparatus final from seventh place and finished fifth with 28.300 points. In the all-around group competition, they placed 14th with 50.850 points, including 23.500 points in the five-ball routine and 27.350 points in the combined routine. The group team members were Agam Gav, Arina Gavozdetsky, Avigail Shvud, Taya Sokolanko, Sofia Perzin, and Keren Sobol.

The personal team was coached by Ayelet Zusman and Julieta Kantelopi, supported by physiotherapist Natali Bartler and judge Ela Samoplov. The group team was also guided by coaches Ayelet Zusman, Natalia Stipnova, and Ela Samoplov, with Natasha Asmolov as team manager and Roni Shachuri as masseuse. The delegation was led by Roni Dinman Netura, CEO of the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, accompanied by federation chairman Avi Shagai.

Avi Shagai praised the team's achievements, highlighting their significant presence in finals and their positioning among the world's leading countries in rhythmic gymnastics. He expressed pride in the gymnasts' dedication and representation of Israel and thanked the coaching and management staff. Shagai also emphasized that while the World Championships have concluded, the team continues its journey toward the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
