Israeli Gymnast Daniela Munitz Places Seventh in World All-Around Final

Israeli rhythmic gymnast Daniela Munitz secured seventh place in the all-around final at the World Championships held in Frankfurt on August 14, 2026. Munitz achieved a total score of 115.650 points across four apparatuses, delivering impressive routines in both the preliminary rounds and the final. Her individual scores included 30.500 in hoop, 27.750 in ball, 30.050 in clubs, and 27.350 in ribbon. She advanced to the all-around final from 13th place in the qualifiers and also qualified for the hoop final scheduled for Sunday.

Fellow Israeli gymnast Mitel Somkin also reached the all-around final, qualifying 14th in the preliminaries and finishing 17th overall with 106.650 points. Somkin’s scores were 26.300 in hoop, 28.950 in ball, 23.050 in clubs, and 28.350 in ribbon. Both gymnasts are supported by coaches Ayelet Zusman and Julieta Kantalopi, physiotherapist Natali Bartler, and judge Ela Samoplov.

Avi Shagai, chairman of the Israeli Gymnastics Federation, praised the achievement, calling it a significant milestone for Israeli gymnastics. He highlighted Munitz’s excellent performance and Somkin’s confirmation as a top international competitor. Shagai also noted that the World Championships are ongoing, with the group competition set for the following day and Munitz returning to compete in the hoop final on Sunday. He wished the team continued success in the tournament.
