Israeli Athletes Secure 12 Medals Across Three International Competitions

Israeli athletes achieved a total of 12 medals across three international tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics, beach sambo, and karate. The competitions took place in the Czech Republic, Brazil, and Hungary.

At the Czech Junior Cup in Brno, held from September 11-13 as part of the Grand Prix Brno, Israeli rhythmic gymnast Maria Myachina secured five medals. She won bronze in the all-around competition with a score of 99.250, finishing behind competitors from Ukraine. Myachina also earned silver medals in the hoop, clubs, and ribbon finals, along with a bronze in the ball exercise.

Further success came from the Beach Sambo World Championships in Caraguatatuba, Brazil, where Israel claimed three bronze medals. Grigory Rudelson took third place in the over 88 kg weight category, and Alice Schlesinger won bronze in the under 72 kg category. The Israeli team also secured a bronze medal in the mixed team event, with Russia winning gold and Romania taking silver.

In Hungary, at the 29th Budapest Open karate tournament, also held from September 11-13, Israeli athletes captured four medals. Andrey Kirnosov won the cadet competition. Bronze medals were awarded to Natanel Abramchaev in the junior under 61 kg category, Yigal Semedov in the cadet under 57 kg category, and Mark Filchinsky in the under 60 kg category. This event featured participants across cadet, junior, youth, and senior age groups.
