Local Authority Head Arrested in Public Corruption Probe
The National Fraud Investigation Unit of Lahav 433 arrested a local authority head this morning for questioning on suspicion of involvement in public corruption. The arrest followed a covert investigation that was based on information received by the unit.
At the same time, police are searching homes and the local authority offices, and additional senior officials from the authority have been summoned for questioning. Further investigative and enforcement actions are also being carried out at several sites within the council area.
