Netanyahu Addresses UN General Assembly, Defends Israel's Actions

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, addressing both the October 7th attacks and the ongoing conflict. He began by calling on "moral cowards" to leave the hall if they remained. Netanyahu asserted that Israel defends many nations whose representatives had just departed, adding that their leaders privately thank Israel for preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. "We will win, we have no other choice!" he declared.

The Prime Minister also criticized Britain and France for accusing Israel of colonialism, deeming the accusations absurd given their own colonial histories. He displayed a pager, referencing the explosive devices used by Hezbollah terrorists and suggesting that the group's representatives would remember such events, unlike many in the audience.

Earlier, Netanyahu had stated he prepared "surprises" for the assembly, intending to refute what he considered false accusations and defend Israel's position.
