Netanyahu Tells UN Delegates 'Cowards' to Leave During Speech
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began his address at the United Nations General Assembly in New York by confronting a walkout by dozens of country representatives. As Netanyahu took the podium, many delegates demonstratively left the hall, while others shouted "Am Yisrael Chai" (The People of Israel Live). Responding to the protest, Netanyahu stated, "If there are any more cowards who want to leave, let them leave now." Prior to his speech, two opposing demonstrations, one anti-Israel and one pro-Israel, took place outside the UN General Assembly building.
